Hydrated?

TOPIC OF THE WEEK

DECEMBER 1rst 2013

Don't forget to Hydrate (especially around the Holidays as we're eating a lot of sugary food and drinking more alcohol).

GUIDELINES: Drink no more than 1 cup of water every twenty minutes. You can also weigh yourself before and after you e...xercise to get a sense of how much fluid you typically lose. One pound is equivalent to approximately 24 ounces of fluid. Dehydration in athletes/exercisers may lead to fatigue, poor performance, decreased coordination and muscle cramping. But don't OVERHYDRATE . . . use the guidelines above or just drink when you're thirsty! The mantra of "drink, drink, drink" is NOT encouraged.

It's all in your Core!

Here is a little write-up I did on the importance of a strong core - specifically for paddlesports athletes and enthusiasts.
