Fit Fact of the day . . . Prioritize your Sleep

If you still think being fit is only about how often you work out, you need to think again. Because one of the top things fit people do to stay healthy and fit isn’t exercise-based at all —’s getting enough sleep.

Not only does sleep give you the energy you need to work out consistently, it also helps regulate your metabolism, repair your muscles, boost your athletic performance and more. Try and get at least 7-8 hours a night.

* I post a lot about SLEEP, because first of all I LOVE sleeping and secondly the majority of people I know deprive themselves of sleep, without realizing what it's doing to their health. I try to average at least 8-9 hours each night. #sleep

Fun Fact of the Day: Studies confirm that Dark Chocolate IS good for you. Certain bacteria in the stomach feed on dark chocolate and ferment it into anti-inflammatory compounds that are good for your heart ~ reducing long term risks of a stroke. Health benefits may increase when the dark chocolate is combined with pomegranate or acai.

Sleep is in the top 3 things that you can do for weight loss and for performing at your best. The others would be nutrition, hydration and I'd obviously throw training into it.
