Are you getting enough Sleep?
Health & Well-being

Sleep is considered the "Athlete's Steroid". It is only in stage 3 of our 5 stage sleep cycle that HGH (Human Growth Hormone) is released. This hormone improves fitness and sports performance. Most adults need 7-9 hours of sleep a night. Are YOU getting enough sleep and maximizing your training as an athlete by doing so? Don't waste your training by neglecting sleep.
TIPS FOR A BETTER NIGHTS SLEEP
* Don't use a computer, cell phone or handheld device in the 90 minutes before you go to bed. LED lighting "tells" the brain to stay awake.
* If you don't fall asleep within 30 minutes get out of bed and do something else until your body and mind feel tired.
* Keep your bedroom cool.
Now everyone . . . SLEEP WELL!

The Fact about awsome Fat!
Diet and Nutrition
NOVEMBER 21ST 2013
I used to be afraid of eating almonds, cashews, pecans . . . basically any kind of nut. I feared the "high fat" content.
Today, I eat multiple handfuls of nuts and I credit that to fueling me through my workouts and long days.
Grab a handful in between meals if you need a boost. The "high fat" content is all AWESOME fats that the body uses to function.
